Saudi Arabia’s foreign trade authority launches anti-dumping investigation into imports of concrete enhancers

RIYADH — The Common Authority of International Commerce has launched an anti-dumping investigation into the Kingdom’s imports of Sulphonated Naphthalene Formaldehyde (SNF), generally used as concrete enhancers. The investigation particularly targets imports originating from the Individuals’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation.

This decisive motion is according to the Commerce Treatments in Worldwide Commerce Legislation, enacted on November 23, 2022. As outlined in Article 4.1, “The Authority is accountable for commerce treatments, together with conducting investigations, opinions, and the imposition of measures in accordance with the Kingdom’s worldwide commitments, particularly below the Anti-Dumping Settlement, the Settlement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures, and the Settlement on Safeguards.”

The first goal of this legislation is to protect the home trade from hurt attributable to dumping and sponsored imports, stop an inflow of imports, and safeguard the Kingdom’s exports affected by commerce treatments proceedings.
