JEDDAH — The Saudi Ambassador to Japan Naif Al-Fahadi has emphasized the ever-strengthening relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan.

He attributes this strong bond to the Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030, a shared initiative by both governments to enhance cooperation in various bilateral and international fields.

The vision is being implemented under the guidance of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Ambassador Al-Fahadi stated, “The deep and advanced ties between our two friendly nations are a result of the Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030, which was launched during the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Japan in March 2017.”

He further expressed that the current visit of the Japanese Prime Minister to Saudi Arabia aims to solidify the gains achieved through this shared vision.

The purpose is to deepen mutual interests and foster partnerships at all levels, demonstrating the commitment of both Riyadh and Tokyo to establish a genuine partnership that benefits both peoples.

Al-Fahadi reiterated that the longstanding 68-year-old Saudi-Japanese relationship has fostered a common understanding leading to shared positions on various bilateral and international issues.

This recognition reflects the importance both countries place on bilateral cooperation in promoting global stability and prosperity.

The Ambassador also praised the comprehensive reforms taking place in Saudi Arabia under the auspices of the Saudi Vision 2030.

He highlighted the potential for international collaboration and partnerships resulting from these reforms, and acknowledged that the Japanese side recognizes the significance of capitalizing on these opportunities.

By leveraging these reforms, both nations can strengthen their partnership, expand collaboration, and seize the accompanying benefits. — SPA
