6 agreements signed to train Saudi doctors in Italy

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Education Ministry has signed 6 agreements to train the Saudi doctors in Italy.

The training program will include Saudi doctors in the fellowship and subspecialty stages, as the Ministry has provided 60 training seats in university hospitals in Italy.

The agreements include a number of medical specialties, such as anesthesiology; cardiac surgery; kidney diseases; pediatric surgery; vascular surgery; respiratory medicine; radiation oncology; neurosurgery.

This comes within the Ministry’s orientation in enhancing the capabilities of the national cadres in the medical field, and to expand in training and qualifying the Saudi doctors in the world’s best medical establishments.

This is in addition to supporting the international companies in this regard.

It is noteworthy that the Education Ministry had earlier signed 17 similar agreements to train and qualify Saudi doctors in Germany, Ireland and Sweden to diversify of sources of scientific and professional reception of national cadres in Saudi Arabia.
