Saudi Arabia issues an electronic Business Visit Visa for “Investing Visitors.”

Saudi Arabia has issued an electronic business visitor visa known as a “visiting investor.” The new visa service, announced jointly by the Ministry of overseas Affairs and the Ministry of business, aims to make it easier for overseas investors to visit Saudi Arabia and immediately investigate the country’s business prospects.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Unified National Platform for Visas, which includes quicker and easier computerized procedures, is the way to apply for a business visit visa (Visiting Investor Visa).

According to the ministry, the investor’s visa will be issued immediately after the application is processed and emailed to the investor.

According to the ministry, the initial phase of this service will assist investors who are nationals of other countries. Citizens of additional countries from across the world will be able to use the visa service in the following phase.

The ministry emphasized that the new visa service contributes to the Kingdom’s goal of being a leading investment power with attractive competitiveness under the Saudi Vision 2030.

According to the Saudi Central Bank, or SAMA, foreign investment in Saudi Arabia would increase by 2% in 2022 to SR2.4 trillion ($640 billion), up from SR2.36 trillion in 2021.

According to the SAMA report, foreign direct investments totaled SR1.01 trillion, accounting for 42% of overall foreign fund inflows into the Kingdom.

The Kingdom’s industrial sector is one of many that has seen a significant influx of foreign investment, accounting for 37% of total funding for the sector.
