Opening of Visitor Visas for Qatari Residents for Umrah and Travel

The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the granting of visitor visas for Qatari resident expatriates for travel and Umrah in order to facilitate Umrah pilgrims departing from Doha.

The Ministry lists multiple entry for both people and groups, the ability to travel, do Umrah, and engage in tourism as benefits of the visit visa.

“Scheduling an appointment at the embassy’s visa center and registering a fingerprint with the original passport” are necessary steps in the process of obtaining a visa.

The Ministry also listed the additional requirements, such that the Gulf residence must be valid for at least three months and that the passport must have a minimum remaining validity of six months.

Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, visited Doha yesterday to talk with Ghanim al-Ghanim, the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Qatar, on ways to make it easier for pilgrims to travel from Qatar and arrive in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
