The Makkah Grand Mosque’s boundaries (Masjid Al-Haram)

The limits of Makkah’s Grand Mosque were depicted on an illustration map by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. According to a legend, offering prayers within these boundaries offers the same benefits as doing so within the Grand Mosque. (Masjid Al-Haram).

The borders were located at Sayyidah Ayesha Mosque, which is 5 kilometers north of the Grand Mosque, and the Arafah, which is 20 kilometers south of the Grand Mosque (13 kilometers south of Crown Prince district).

The Ministry reported that the Grand Mosque of Makkah’s boundaries had been extended to include the Al-Hudaibiyah district (Al-Shumaisi) to the west, at a distance of 18 km, and the Jafranah neighborhood to the east, at a distance of 14.5 km. (10 km of the Al-Sharai district).

Because of the Grand Mosque’s hugeness as well as its location inside the walls of Makkah’s Grand Mosque, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah praised the pilgrims who performed their prayers there in tranquility and comfort.

When reaching these borders, the Ministry further said that it is forbidden to hunt, cut plants, take missing items, or other people’s property.
