TEN\10 THINGS THAT BREAK YOUR FAST.

RULE GENERAL FOR THINGS THAT BREAK YOUR FAST:

Things that break the fast during Ramadan must satisfy the following three requirements:

The person is aware of how it ends the fast and is not in the dark about it.
The person is aware of what he or she is doing and has not lost sight of the fact that they are fasting.
The action is taken of the person’s own free will; it is not coerced or forced upon him. (i.e. it is the choice of the person).
If all three requirements are met, the fast has been broken, and one should ask their Lord for forgiveness.

10 THINGS THAT BREAK YOYR FAST

Things that are consumed by the body and things that are excreted from the body fall into two different categories that are considered to break the fast.

Consumed substances that break the fast:

Eating

Drinking

Drugs, shots, tablets, and blood transfusions.

Kidney dialysis, in which the body receives recycled blood.

The second category consists of behaviors that cause biological fluids to leave the body. Additionally, these would end the fast and consist of:

Sexual activity

Masturbation

Periods of menstruation

Vomiting (if done deliberately).

Pregnancy Bleeding

Cupping or blood donation (there are conflicting views on blood donation).

Verse in the Qur’an that discuss Ramadan regulations (see those ayats in Surah Baqarah ayat 187). The clear directive to refrain from sexual activity throughout this month, as well as to avoid drinking and eating until sundown, is found in Surah Baqarah ayah 187.
