Expat residents who intend to leave Saudi Arabia permanently must obtain a Final Exit Visa. In Saudi Arabia, the Final Exit Visa is also known as Khurooj Nihai.

This ensures that you can return to Saudi Arabia with a new visa if necessary in the future.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Interior and Labor has developed a more convenient method of checking your visa status. You can check the status of your Exit Visa online in two ways:

  • MOL-official KSA’s website
  • Absher website

It is important to note, however, that this visa is usually only valid for 60 days.

Checking the Status of Your Saudi Final Exit Visa on the MOL Website

  • —First, go to the MOL website.
  • -You must then enter your Iqama number.
  • -Additionally, enter your passport or visa number.
  • -Enter your border number here as well.
  • -Finally, type in the image code.
  • -Next, press the green button.
  • -Make a note of the Employment Status field.
  • -If your Final Exit Visa is approved, you will receive a (Khurooj Nihai) status.
  • If it is not approved, a (ali ras alamal) status will appear in the employment status field. This indicates that your exit visa is being processed.

Using Absher to Check Your Saudi Khurooj Nihai Status

  • Launch the Absher website to check your exit status.
  • Select “Individuals” from the drop-down menu.
  • Then, choose between English and Arabic as your preferred language.
  • Log in to your Absher account and navigate to the “Dashboard” tab.
  • Then, select “More Details” from the drop-down menu.
  • Look for “Visa Class” in the “Visa Information” section.
  • If the authorities have approved your Final Exit Visa, the status “Final” will appear on your Visa Class.

Saudi Arabia Final Exit Visa Requirements

Furthermore, ex-pats must have a valid passport in order to obtain this final visa. Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports has announced the requirements for an exit visa.

According to the announcement, ex-pats’ passports must be valid for at least sixty days. If your passport does not meet the validity requirements, you must renew it before applying for an exit visa.
