The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the cancellation of reservations made by domestic pilgrims who failed to pay the second installment of Hajj package costs by the deadline of January 29.
Starting May 5, aspiring pilgrims who have made full payment through the “Absher” platform will be issued Hajj permits, according to the ministry (Shawwal 15).
The ministry previously stated that electronic payment of Hajj package costs would be made through the SADAD system. The deadline for the second installment was January 29 (Rajab 7), and the deadline for the third installment is April 30. (Shawwal 10). The ministry also stated that after January 26, the option of partial payment of package costs is no longer available.
As for aspiring pilgrims whose reservations have been canceled due to nonpayment of the second installment, the ministry has stated that they can re-book a package as long as slots are available.
Reservations for domestic pilgrims will be available through the ministry’s website and the Nusuk application until June 25 (Dhul Hijjah 7) or until the quota allotted for domestic pilgrims this year is tired. Only Saudis with valid national identities or expatriates with valid residency permits (iqama) are permitted to perform the annual pilgrimage, according to the ministry.
The Ministry of Interior will issue Hajj permits to those who have completed all of the necessary procedures, including payment of the Hajj package costs in full. Beginning May 5, the applicant must print the permit from the “Absher” platform. Following that, the applicant will receive a text message containing the permit number.
If an applicant wishes to cancel his reservation, he can do so by following all of the details of the cancellation procedure and the refund policy from the main page of the electronic path for domestic pilgrims and selecting the option for canceling reservations for domestic pilgrims for the 1444 Hajj season, according to the ministry.
