In Saudi Arabia, how can I check who is the cars owner?

Once I was in an accident and the person who hit my car from behind fled. Fortunately, I took down the car’s license plate, and the next thing I wanted to do was check with Saudi Arabia to see who owned the vehicle using the license plate. But it wasn’t that simple.

While many nations have introduced internet facilities that allow you to look up the owner of a vehicle using the license plate or vehicle registration number, Saudi Arabia does not.

Even after extensive searching, I was unable to locate an online service that allowed me to look up the name of a Saudi Arabian car owner using the license plate.

I went straight to the traffic police station to look up the name of the car owner in Saudi Arabia using the license plate, but to my astonishment, they would not provide me any information about the owner. They assert that because it is personal information, they are not permitted to share it with anyone.

I then told them that the man had hit me in the back and fled. I showed him the images of my automobile when they asked for the proof. They requested that I file a police report against the car’s license plate, but they would not provide me with any other information.

I took the video my dashboard camera had captured of the car swerving away when I went to the police station to file the complaint. The police officer gave me the owner’s information after examining the indisputable evidence.

Later, they called the owner of the car and requested that he come to the police station to resolve the matter. The suspect, realizing that he could not escape at this time, went to the police station, where the officers assisted me in receiving the necessary recompense.
