A Saudi girl gets burned as her phone catches fire.

JEDDAH — A mobile phone that caught fire while charging in the Northern Border Region of Saudi Arabia burned a 13-year-old girl.

When the mobile phone exploded in the girl’s hands, the five-person family in Rafha governorate narrowly avoided a serious catastrophe. The girl dozed out while clutching the phone, which was plugged into the charger.

The girl’s father claims that the incident occurred early on Thursday. The girl’s screaming caused the family members to awaken. When they noticed the burning phone in her hands, they became frightened.

The adolescent was rushed right away to the hospital’s emergency room, where she is now recovering.

The father revealed that his daughter’s phone exploded and caught fire because she slept with the charger attached to it.
