5 family members died in a Riyadh apartment.

According to the Civil Defense, a man, his wife, and three children were killed when their apartment in Riyadh’s Al-Faisaliyyah district caught fire on Saturday.

The apartment was located on the second floor of a three-story structure.

According to the Civil Defense, fire brigades extinguished the fire while Red Crescent Authority paramedics transported the five victims to the hospital in critical condition.

According to the Civil Defense, all five of them died before reaching the hospital due to inhaling a large amount of smoke.

A citizen reported smoke billowing from the apartment to the Civil Defense operations room, and rescue teams, including firefighters, were immediately dispatched to the scene.

According to reports, the fire started in one of the apartment’s air conditioners. Even though neighbors who saw some people coming out of the apartment tried to warn the family members inside, they did not respond. When the firefighters arrived and broke open the door, they discovered the victims in critical condition. The victims were reportedly sleeping when the fire broke out.

According to the Civil Defense, the fire spread quickly into the other rooms due to the apartment’s wooden furniture.

According to the report, rescue teams were able to rescue five people from the burning apartment, but it was too late due to the heavy smoke they had inhaled.

The Civil Defense said the investigations would be completed by the appropriate authorities.
