Since January 10, the cost of Umrah insurance for overseas pilgrims has been reduced by 63%.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that the cost of comprehensive insurance for foreign Umrah performers has been reduced by 63 percent, from SR235 to SR87, effective January 10, 2023.

The Umrah insurance policy is a unified policy that covers those coming to Umrah from outside Saudi Arabia.

It is part of the visa application process and covers emergency situations such as treatment, admission, hospitalization, pregnancy, emergency childbirth, emergency dental cases, traffic accident injuries, dialysis cases, and internal and external medical evacuation.

It also covers general cases like accidental permanent total disability, death and death due to natural disasters, returning the deceased’s body to his country, and blood money issued by a court ruling. It also includes coverage for flight delay and cancellation compensation.

According to the Ministry, the insurance coverage period is 90 days, beginning on the day of entry into the Kingdom, and the scope of its coverage is limited to Saudi Arabia.
