The Ministry will soon launch a service for ‘Individual Pilgrims’ to apply for Hajj from outside Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has confirmed that the “Individual Pilgrims” service for applying for Hajj from outside Saudi Arabia will be launched soon.
It will also allow pilgrims to use the Nusuk app to obtain permits to perform Umrah and pray in the Rawdah Sharif.
The ministry confirmed that it will work to provide the service of registering the vital features of biometrics for pilgrims online, allowing them to obtain an immediate visa from five countries: Tunisia, the United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Kuwait, via the Interior Ministry’s (Saudi Visa Bio) app.
Furthermore, it has stated its intention to launch a comprehensive insurance service for Hajj pilgrims and Umrah performers, which would cover emergency medical cases, COVID-19 infections, general accidents and deaths, as well as flight cancellations or delays.
The ministry confirmed its intention to make all procedures available electronically in the coming years, beginning with the idea of arriving in Saudi Arabia and ending with departure, passing through all stations of hotel reservations, transportation, services, and crowd management.
Regarding its accomplishments in 2022, the ministry stated that it served 7 million pilgrims, 4 million of whom came on an Umrah visa.
