Jawazat has launched digital ID for expatriates..

The Directorate General of Passports (Jawazat) has launched a digital identity (ID) service for expatriate family members.

It can be accessed via the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform Absher Afrad (Absher Individuals).

The new service allows expatriates to review their family members’ digital IDs, as well as view and use their data and keep a copy for future reference.

According to the Jawazat, the digital ID of a family member of an expatriate can be carried and shown upon request by security personnel everywhere in the Kingdom thanks to the photo that was uploaded through the Absher Afrad. The bearer is not need to carry a physical copy of the ID.

This service is an addition to the digital technical solutions offered by the Jawazat to make it easier for citizens, expatriates, and visitors to benefit from its services through the Absher platform without having to go in person to its main office or branch offices.
