A new bylaw allows Saudis to rent out housing units to tourists.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has upgraded the rain status alert and thunderstorm warning to “warning” in Makkah, Madinah, and Al-Baha.

As visibility will be reduced until 10 a.m., it is considered a warning from thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain, surface winds, and high waves, as well as hail and torrential flow. Today

The rain warning will affect Jeddah, Taif, Al-Kamil, Al-Laith, Al-Shaabiya, Bahrah, Al-Jamoum, Khulais, Asfan, and Rabigh in Makkah.

Madinah, Al-Hankiya, Badr, Khaibar, Yanbu, Al-Mahd, and Wadi Al-Fara’ will be affected.

The warning applies to the Al-Baha region, including Al-Baha, Al-Aqiq, Al-Qura, Baljurashi, Bani Hasan, and Al-Mandaq.

In the Eastern region (Al-Sharqiya) and the Northern Borders, there will also be moderate to heavy rain and hail.

Meanwhile, in response to National Center of Meteorology reports, the General Directorate of Education in Jeddah has suspended in-person classes at schools in Jeddah, Rabigh, and Khulais. All classes will be held remotely via the Madrasati platform on Wednesday. Staff in schools and education offices will be able to work from home.

Follow the instructions of the appropriate authorities regarding security, health, and environmental concerns, as well as safety equipment, ambulances, and evacuations.

Regulations state that a tourist should not be forced to leave a residential unit after checking in unless the appropriate authorities intervene and the applicable laws are followed.

The tourist’s residential facility, regardless of whether he is inside, cannot be opened without his permission. It is only permitted after consultation with the appropriate authorities and ensuring the safety of the tourist. All incidents involving the security or safety of tourists, the facility, or its employees must be immediately and directly reported to the appropriate authorities.

Tourists must present a valid ID at the time of check-in. Tourists without identification can be accepted in emergency situations if they have received approval from the appropriate authorities, according to the bylaw.
