Jawazat Launch new electronic services in absher

During the 8th Absher Forum 2022, the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia introduced 5 new electronic services for Saudi nationals and resident foreigners, enabling them to access these services online via the Absher platform without having to physically visit Jawazat offices.

Jawazat now offers “Absher Travel” service through the Absher platform. This service enables pre-registration for travelers, as well as their accompanying individuals and the vehicle used to travel through the Absher platform. Before crossing the port, a message will be sent to the those registered in the service, in case of crowding, to avoid crowding and shorten the time of passers-by.

The second new Absher service enables the payment of government fees for the issuance and renewal of the Saudi digital passport. In addition to using other bank payment methods, it enables citizens of Saudi Arabia to pay passport fees through Absher.

“View of the Saudi Passport as a Digital Identity” is the third service, which enables Saudi citizens to look at a digital version of their passport.

For residents to view their digital identities of dependents, enabling them to view their family members’ digital IDs and utilize them as references as needed.

After the debut of this service in the system, Jawazat will continue to receive requests from citizens of the age group of 21 and over who seek to renew their passport through the Ministry of Interior’s Absher platform.

After submitting their application for a new passport, applicants must go to the local passport office to check their old one.
