Ban period of 3 years for those who left Kingdom on Re-Entry, is not applicable on the Same employer visa.
The Saudi General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) clarified the instructions for a three-year ban from entering the Kingdom for those who left on an Exit Re-Entry visa and did not return.
One of Saudi Jawazat’s official Twitter followers inquired, “Can an expat worker return after 4 years have passed, knowing that he left Saudi Arabia on re-entry visa and did not return, but while checking for his iqama number, his status is Absent From Work”?
The Saudi Passports Department responded by clarifying that a fresh visa issued by the same or current employer does not fall under the three-year ban period for failing to reenter the country on a departure visa.
Jawazat went on to say that the calculation for the three-year ban period starts when the exit/re-entry visa expires, with the Hijri date being preferred.
Jawazat now permits Border Number inquiries through the Absher platform:
Saudi Jawazat recently announced that customers could use their Absher accounts to inquire about the border number without visiting Jawazat locations.
The Jawazat announced via its official Twitter account that GCC nationals and guests to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can find out their border number without going to the passport offices. As of right now, you can ask about this via the Absher electronic platform.
