Huroob Expats Have 15-Days Deadline To Transfer Their Services.

New guidelines added to the Labor Law by MHRSD address the transfer of services provided by absent expatriate workers.

expats workers who are reported absent from work (Huroob) by their employers are now subject to new regulations under Saudi Arabia’s Labor Law, according to the country’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The transfer of these workers’ services to a new employer must be finished, in accordance with the ministry, within 15 days of receiving ministry approval.

If the transfer is not completed within this time frame, the worker’s status will be Huroob (absent from work). If the new employer agrees to this condition when transferring the worker’s services, they will also be responsible for any outstanding fees or arrears associated with the worker.

This modification to the Labor Law aims to improve the working environment while also protecting the rights of both parties in a contractual relationship. When transferring the services of a foreign worker, employers must be aware of their responsibilities and follow the necessary procedures.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Saad Al-Hammad, stated that these steps were taken to increase the effectiveness and allure of the labor market in the kingdom while also defending the rights of both employers and employees.
