Saudi Arabia launches a program to teach Arabic to non-native medical professionals

The Arabic language instruction program for non-native speakers in the medical industry was started by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

The program is introduced via the health practitioner’s digital learning environment. The program’s initial phase seeks to instruct students on Arabic greetings.

The program, according to the commission, aims to improve Arabic language proficiency, facilitate efficient communication among non-native speakers, and develop public knowledge of the linguistic and cultural legacy of Saudi Arabia.

This will make it possible for the practitioner to use the language correctly and offer patients the best possible care that is centered on their experience and safety.

The commission said that in order to develop this program, it worked with a variety of health specialists, linguists, and instructors of non-native languages.

In collaboration with a content development team, it has also created an electronic version.

The program is regarded as being the first of its sort in the Kingdom’s healthcare system.

The interests of healthcare professionals, patients, and their families are served by it as the initial step in a comprehensive and integrated educational pathway.
