MHRSD introduces Tasheelat Card for handicapped Saudis and foreigners

The Agency for Rehabilitation and Social Guidance, on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), announced the introduction of the Tasheelat Card for persons with impairments.

The new card, which is available digitally starting on Tuesday, October 18, through the Tawakkalna Services application and the ministry’s application, is bilingually printed in Arabic and English.

The card, which may be used outside of the Kingdom, is available to both Saudi nationals and expats living there. The cardholders enjoy a number of privileges and benefits. Discounted public transportation costs and designated parking places are only a couple of the card’s advantages and features.

Several representatives from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the Authority of People with Disabilities, and the Digital Transformation Agency were present at the card launching ceremony. By combining various smart cards into one, such as the autism card, parking card, and boarding fee reduction card (Erkab), the Tasheelat Card offers many benefits.

The card gives the cardholders access to cheap travel. In addition to the advantages of unlimited access to public utility parking spots and parking spaces allocated for people with disabilities, there will be a 50% discount on the cost of using public transportation.

Additionally, it provides beneficiaries with autism disorder with a card to help them be recognized, move more easily through public spaces, and have priority access to government hospitals, health centers, and other institutions.

The ministry stated that those who had previously gotten any of the prior cards did not need to apply for the card, but those who did not have one might obtain the service through the internet portal by clicking the link.
