The Interior Ministry declared that it has begun using cutting-edge surveillance of criminal activity and traffic infractions. The scheme’s initial phase was introduced in the Riyadh area.

The ministry’s security patrol teams are outfitted with cutting-edge technological tools under the new system that simultaneously monitor criminal and traffic infractions. The patrol teams are outfitted with cutting-edge technical tools, such as radar and 360-degree cameras, to fully monitor traffic infractions including speeding, using a phone while driving, and failure to buckle up.

Two security patrols have started their duties of observing traffic infractions using cutting-edge technology in the Riyadh area. To monitor the cars involved in infractions or the vehicles that the security officials are looking for, the system has two front and two back cameras.

The method will allow the security agencies to detain wanted individuals even if they are riding in cars that aren’t on the list of wanted vehicles. In such cases, the security patrol system will display a warning on the device’s screen and evaluate all the data on the sought individuals or cars.
