Dr. Nayef Al Hajraf, secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), commended the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ rejection of the accusations made against Saudi Arabia after the announcement of the OPEC+ decision.

Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates make up the GCC, which was founded in 1981.

Al Hajraf declared his unwavering rejection of the claims, stating that they lacked any basis in reality and veracity, and his complete sympathy with Saudi Arabia.

He commended Saudi Arabia for playing a crucial regional and global role in upholding international law, the United Nations Charter, and the ideals of respect between nations.

Additionally, he applauded the Kingdom’s dedication to upholding national sovereignty, shielding the world economy from energy price changes, and securing energy supplies in accordance with a strategy that strikes a balance between the needs of energy producers and consumers.

In line with the principles of respect between nations, the advancement of common interests, and the maintenance of regional and global security and peace, he stressed the historical role of Saudi Arabia in helping to address the economic issues facing the globe.

Al Hajraf emphasized the Kingdom’s efforts to fight extremism and terrorism in order to advance wealth and development in the area and throughout the globe.

According to the GCC Chief, such remarks won’t change the realities, disguise them, or deter Saudi Arabia from carrying out its duties and commitments as a key pillar of security and stability in the area and throughout the world.

Additionally, he emphasized Saudi Arabia’s significant political, economic, and leadership responsibilities in the Arab, Islamic, and international realms.
