When a bank customer was robbed at gunpoint, Riyadh police detained an expat gang.

The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia reported that the Riyadh police had detained a group of foreigners accused of robbing bank customers while brandishing firearms.

The guys who were detained, according to the Ministry, were of various nationalities, including Ethiopian, Syrian, and Bangladeshi. Five of the Ethiopians have illegally crossed the border into the nation.

• The five Ethiopians held up the bank customers with guns and demanded all of their money. According to the ministry, it also detained 2 Bangladeshis, 4 Ethiopians, and Syrians for hosting the offenders and giving them SIM cards.

The Ministry added that four stolen cars were used by the suspects, confirming that the cars had been found. The suspects’ 387 SIM cards and guns were also seized by the Ministry.

The Riyadh police took first legal action against the men and then submitted them to the Public Prosecution.
