Saudi authorities can be seen in a video beating women in an orphanage.

An inquiry has been opened by Saudi authorities in response to a widely shared video showing security personnel abusing women. Saudi officials can be seen pulling a lady by her hair and hitting ladies with leather belts in the footage.

The video was shot in Khamis Mushayt‘s orphanage. The security guards, who are wearing their uniforms, can be seen striking ladies with belts made of leather and wooden poles in the film.

Black abayas are what the women are wearing. A guy can be seen pulling a lady by her hair while she moans and shouts in the same footage.

In other videos, ladies can be seen being pursued by security personnel as they flee and being pushed to the ground.

It is unclear what the underlying narrative is or when this video was shot, therefore the governor of the Asir area has appointed a commission to look into the subject.

The Saudi Human Rights Commission declared that it has formed a team to follow up on the incident’s investigations and is collaborating with the appropriate authorities.
