After being set on fire by her husband, Hana Mohammad Khodur passed away 11 days later.

According to reports in the local media, a pregnant Lebanese woman who refused to get an abortion was violently assaulted and set on fire by her husband.

The 21-year-old Hana Mohammad Khodur died of severe burns on Wednesday after 11 days at Al Salam Hospital in Tripoli, northern Lebanon.

The victim’s unborn child passed away in her womb before being medically removed, according to hospital doctors.

The victim and her husband got into a fight over the undesired unborn kid because he urged her to terminate the child because he wouldn’t be able to raise the child in a nation that is going through the biggest economic and financial crisis in history.

According to Hana‘s cousin Abdul Rahman Haddad, the husband set Hana ablaze after she refused to abort the fetus. When the guy was about to leave the country, authorities caught him.
