Conditions and Requirements for Issuing a Driver’s License and Authorization

One must be at least 17 years old to be issued a driving license, the General Directorate of Traffic (Moroor) in Saudi Arabia recalled.

Saudi Moroor responded that you must be at least 17 years old in order for a driving license to be issued.

Requirements for Driving License :

• 6 personal photos
• Health Checkup
• Request a spot at a driving school.

Conditions for issuing a Driver’s license :

1. Reaching the age of eighteen.
2. He shouldn’t have been found guilty of drug use, possession, or promotion.
3. Protection from ailments and conditions that make driving difficult
4. Pass the road test, and pay any any fines.
5. Non-Saudis must have a regular residence permission (iqama).

Conditions for issuing Vehicle’s authorization :

For only private vehicle types, the authorization is electronically distributed via the Ministry of Interior website. The Traffic department currently handles all other vehicle categories, including taxis, buses, and public utility vehicles. Applications for umrah visas for the year 1444 AH are now being accepted, according to the Ministry of Hajj.

• Valid and insured driver’s license required for the vehicle.
• The approved individual is free of traffic infractions, as is his authorized record.
• The permitted person having a valid driver’s license of their own type.
• The granting of authorization is free.
• There must be no security or traffic observations on the vehicle record, the owner, or his authorized representative.
