The raising of Kiswah

The cover of the Holy Kabah is referred to as kiswah. The Kiswah is raised three meters before Hajj each year in order to protect it from harm.

The Holy Kaaba is touched by pilgrims during the Hajj, and some even attempt to remove the Kiswah’s threads, which could cause damage. To get the blessed piece with them, some individuals may even try torn the Kiswah. Rainbow colored Theme items were seized by Saudi officials in Riyadh.

The Ihram of Kabah

The Kiswah is raised every year on or after 15 Dhul Qadah. The Holy Kaaba is draped in a white cloth as a representation of its Ihram.

A different cloth is now wrapped around the Holy Kabah, although in the past the kiswah was lifted so that the white cloth would be visible.

Why the Kiswah was not raised in 2020?

On the fifteenth Dhul Qadah, the kiswah is raised by three meters as the Hajj season begins.

It was not, however, raised in the 2020 calendar year. The authorities did not find the need to raise it since only 1,000 pilgrims completed the Hajj in 2020. Is there any hadith in Islam about cats?
