The Saudi Arabian General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has placed a financial penalty on airlines that delay, lose, or damage passengers’ luggage. The airline must compensate the customer within 30 days of receiving the demand for compensation.
GACA went on to say that if a customer’s luggage is lost, damaged, or delayed, the airline must reimburse them with a least of 1,820 Saudi Riyals and a maximum of 6,000 riyals. During the summer, the Saudi Civil Defense recommends against leaving five goods in your car.
Passengers who wish to increase their compensation because their luggage contains precious or high-value items must notify the airline of their presence and worth before boarding. List of 51 names banned in Saudi Arabia
Customers must be compensated if their luggage is delayed, according to GACA, at a rate of 104 riyals per day of delay and a maximum of 520 riyals for internal flights.
Customers on foreign flights must be paid with the equivalent of 208 riyals for each day of delay, up to a maximum of 1,040 riyals, according to GACA.
According to the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the additional parts must be issued by the air carrier with an identification card and a separate cost. Within 30 days of receiving the compensation claim, the airline is required to compensate the passenger for baggage damage or loss.
