The benefit of splitting Iqama fee does not apply to Domestic Workers – Jawazat

Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) reiterated that the benefit of splitting iqama payments does not apply to domestic workers and comparable workers.

This was in response to a tweet from Jawazat’s official account, in which one of the employees inquired, “Is it feasible to renew the iqama of a private driver for a period of three months?” Entry ban on visit visa holders to 4 Saudi airports

Allowing the issuance and renewal of iqamas (residence permits) related to work permits is done on a quarterly basis, at the very least every three months, according to the Saudi Jawazat.

Jawazat went on to say that it excludes domestic workers and similar workers, as well as the division of paying the work permit fee, iqama, financial remuneration, and costs required to get the aforementioned iqamas, based on the length of the residency permit. Saudi Arabia bans citizens from traveling to 16 countries

Citizens planning to travel outside the Kingdom in the next days should check that all health standards are met, according to the General Directorate of Passports.

Jawazat went on to say that you should check the health requirements of the country you intend to visit and that you should follow up on what the relevant authorities say.
