How to take ZamZam water from Saudi Airports?

According to the new legislation, only a few Saudi Arabian airlines will be able to transport ZamZam water from Jeddah, Riyadh, or Dammam airports after 2022.

The General Authority of Civil Planes (GACA) recently issued a directive prohibiting all commercial airlines and private aviation from transporting any liquids, including ZamZam water, in checked bags. Saudi Aramco has announced new Petrol prices for May 2022 in the Kingdom.

GACA announced in its circular that all airlines departing from Saudi airports will not allow passengers to take liquids (ZamZam packages) within their checked bags, citing Article 23 of the Civil Aviation Law. You can, however, take it by following the steps outlined below.

• The ZamZam water factory must pack the water bottle. It’s available at any grocery store or at the airport itself.
• You cannot transport ZamZam water bottles that have been manually filled.
• A plastic sheet must be used to seal the water bottle.
• Zamzam water bottles are not permitted to be carried in checked luggage.

Carrying ZamZam water from Jeddah Airport

If your flight departs from the new Jeddah Airport, King Abdulaziz International Airport Terminal 1, you will not be able to drink ZamZam water. It is crucial to remember that all major airlines fly out of Terminal 1, including;

• Saudi Airlines.
• FlyNas.
• Emirates Airlines.
• Qatar Airways.
• Gulf Air.

Passengers flying out of Jeddah Airport North Terminal can still check ZamZam water as checked luggage if they follow the ZamZam guidelines outlined above. The following flights depart from the Jeddah North terminal:

• PIA.
• Air Blue.
• Serene Air.
• Most of the African Airlines.

Taking ZamZam from Riyadh/Dammam Airport

From Riyadh and Dammam airports, almost all flights, including Saudi Airlines, FlyNas, FlyaDeal, PIA, Air India, Emirates Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Gulf Air, allow passengers to bring one 5-liter ZamZam water bottle.
