According to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, an Umrah permission can be provided in the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan only if the applicant does not hold a previous Ramadan permit.

“You can grant an Umrah permission in the last 10 days of Ramadan, if you have not previously issued an Umrah permit during Ramadan,” the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah explained via its official Twitter account in response to a question. Umrah visa holders can travel across the Kingdom during their stay

According to Osama Al-Hujaili, the Undersecretary General for Tafweeq and Crowds Management, more than 4.2 million pilgrims have done Umrah during the first 20 days of Ramadan, as per precautionary precautions.

The Ministry previously announced that pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom to do Umrah must obtain a permit through the Eatmarna application, stating that they are not infected with the Covid-19 and have not come into contact with an infected individual. More Eid Al-Fitr Holidays have been ordered by King Salman for students.

The Ministry further underlined that women under the age of 45 are now permitted to perform Umrah and are not required to join a mahram or a women’s group. Women can now conduct Umrah without the need for a mahram.

The Ministry reiterated that there is no way to change the date of an Umrah permission, however it can be canceled and a fresh permit granted through Eatmarna before the permit expires.

Non-vaccinated individuals are permitted to pray in the Two Holy Mosques and to obtain an Umrah permit, but they must not be infected with corona or come into touch with an infected individual.
