The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has published the provisional Hajj Quota for the year 2022 (1443 AH) to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and other nations.

The Ministry already confirmed that 1 million pilgrims will be allowed to conduct the Hajj rituals this year, including both international and domestic pilgrims. Due to the corona epidemic, Saudi Arabia has suspended the Hajj pilgrimage for overseas pilgrims for the past two years.

Saudi Arabia used to allow approximately 2.5 million pilgrims from all over the world to perform the Hajj pilgrimage before the pandemic. International pilgrims will receive the highest portion of the hajj quota this year, accounting for 850,000 pilgrims out of a total of one million, due to their inability to perform in the previous two years, while local pilgrims will receive 15% of the hajj quota this year (150,000 pilgrims).

With a large allotment, Indonesia is at the top of the list, followed by Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Nigeria. With 23 pilgrims, the African country of Angola stands at the bottom of the Hajj quota list for this year.
