Umrah visa holders can travel across the Kingdom during their stay

Authorities in Saudi Arabia announced that foreign Muslims who have been granted visas to perform the Umrah or a shorter pilgrimage are free to travel within the country during their stay.

According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, pilgrims on Umrah visas have a 30-day stay period during which they are free to travel between the holy towns of Makkah and Madina as well as within the Kingdom.

– Saudi authorities have recently lifted limits on completing Umrah in light of the Kingdom’s easing of prohibitions on the Corona virus.

Several precautionary measures, including the cancellation of licenses for worshiping at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and visiting the Prophet’s Mosque in Madina, have been rescinded by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

All worshippers will no longer be required to undergo an immunization check to enter both holy sites, according to the Ministry. Furthermore, the ministry has removed the requirement for abroad Muslims to register their immunization data in order to obtain an Umrah permission.
