More Eid Al-Fitr Holidays have been ordered by King Salman for students.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has ordered that the Eid Al-Fitr holidays for all students (boys and girls) in public schools and universities commence from the end of Thursday (21st April, 2022), 20th Ramadan 1443.

According to Saudi Press Agency, King Salman has issued an order to reschedule 4 days before the start of Eid holidays, which were supposed to commence at the end of Monday (25th April 2022), 24th Ramadan 1443, as per their academic calendar. The Ministry of Education had previously stated that schools will remain open until the 24th of Ramadan, prior to a 12-day Eid vacation. Generally, schools were closed throughout Ramadan; however, there was a time approximately 15 years ago when schools were open during the holy month of Ramadan.
