Even if the Employer’s services have been suspended, an expat iqama can be renewed – Jawazat

The Saudi Arabian General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has stated that an overseas worker’s iqama can be renewed even if the employer’s online services have been suspended.

Jawazat responded with this clarification in answer to a question from a Saudi citizen who questioned, “My computer online services have been suspended; is it possible to renew his private driver’s iqama?” The Otr Elkalam competition attracts attention to Saudi Arabia around the world.

Jawazat previously claimed that an expat worker’s iqama can be renewed quarterly by the employer, and that it includes the expat worker’s dependents, and that the process can be completed after paying the required price.

Jawazat further highlighted that, with the exception of domestic workers and others, the system provides for the issuing of iqama relating to work permits and their renewal on a quarterly basis as a minimum.

The value of the work permit, iqama, financial consideration, and fees required to get the above-mentioned residence permits can also be obtained, depending on the iqama term.
