Hajj and Umrah: Children under 5 years of age can enter the Grand Mosque of Mecca with their parents without performing Umrah

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that children under the age of 5 are allowed to enter the prayer places in the Grand Mosque with their parents, adding that they are not allowed to enter to perform Umrah.

The Ministry indicated that the minimum age for issuing Umrah permits through the “Umrah” application is 5 years, provided that they are not infected with the Corona virus or have contact with someone infected with the virus.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced earlier that it was allowed to perform prayers in the Two Holy Mosques and visit the tomb of the Prophet without the need to issue a permit, and to limit the permits to performing Umrah and praying in the honorable kindergarten only.
