Saudi Arabia and Thailand have signed two agreements to hire general laborers and domestic workers.

RIYADH is a city in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyad Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmad Bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi met with Thai Minister of Labor Suchart Chomklin, Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain, and a number of ministry undersecretaries at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh on Monday.

The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, and two agreements were signed in the areas of general workforce and domestic workers, with the goal of establishing a legal framework for all procedures necessary for the efficient employment of Thai workers in Saudi Arabia.

The agreements has included safeguarding workers’ and employers’ rights, arranging their contractual relationships, and establishing methods for follow-up and implementation, as well as cooperative execution of the requirements of the two agreements.

This meeting is part of the ministry’s efforts to strengthen and expand international bilateral relationships with counterpart ministries in other countries in ways that benefit all parties. — S.P.A.
