The nationalization of these professions in Saudi Arabia will enter into force tomorrow

The decision covers central markets with an area of at least 500 square meters.

The second phase of rationing and central markets in Saudi Arabia will come into effect on Monday, with 100% of Saudis working in the professions of a ‘department supervisor’. The stage shortens the work in the outlets by 50% of the total workers in the professions of department manager, assistant branch manager and branch manager. The second phase of the localization of supplies and central markets will be implemented 360 days after the date of publication of the resolution on 25 0 1442 H, in accordance with the procedural manual of the decision to settle supplies and central markets. The decision to localize supplies and central markets covers all supplies of at least 300 square meters and central markets of at least 500 square meters.

In the first phase, the work at the outlets was limited to Saudis by 100% in occupations (customer accountant, accounting fund supervisor, customer service ‘customer relations/secretariats’), and limited the work in outlets to Saudis by 50% of the total employees in a profession (department supervisor). These decisions come out of the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s keenness to provide new stimulating and productive jobs for citizens in various regions of the Kingdom, and to raise their participation in the labor market in accordance with the objectives of The Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
