During the holy month of Ramadan, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development established working hours for private sector enterprises.

The Human Resources Ministry announced on Twitter that for the current year 2022 (1443), the private sector’s working hours during the beautiful month of Ramadan would be 6 hours, and may God accept everyone’s fasting and good deeds.

According to the ministry, this is based on Saudi Labor Law Article 98, which specifies that working hours in the private sector shall be limited to 6 hours each day.

School hours during Ramadan :

The Ministry of Education confirmed that private and public schools will remain open during Ramadan 2022, with classes starting at 9 a.m. or 10 a.m., depending on the school. Each lesson will last 35 minutes under the flexible system.

Classes at universities and high schools will begin at 9 a.m. and end according to the academic calendar for each grade level.

The Ministry of Education has declared that the Eid Al-Fitr holiday would begin on April 25th and end on May 5th, 2022.

For Technical and Vocational training facilities during Ramadan :

Meanwhile, the Tabuk and Northern Borders General Administration of Technical and Vocational Training confirmed that the official working hours in all training facilities for the month of Ramadan will be 5 hours, with morning training for trainees beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.

The administration also stated that the training lecture should not go longer than 35 minutes, and that for the nighttime application program, training will begin at 9:30 p.m.

This is in accordance with the Foundation’s directives, which aim to take into account the needs of establishments’ trainees and allow them to provide training services at times that are convenient for male and female trainees at colleges of technology and secondary industrial institutes during the blessed month.
