Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has ordered that the Ramadan Crescent be seen on Friday (29th Shaban)

The Saudi Supreme Court has ordered an investigation into the sighting of the blessed month of Ramadan crescent on the evening of Friday (1st April2022), 29th Shaban 1443 according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar, and notification of those who see it with the naked eye or through binoculars to the nearest court.

The Supreme Court recommends that anybody who sees the blessed month’s crescent with the naked eye or through a telescope record his testimony with it, or contact the nearest center for assistance in getting to the nearest court. Recommendation Saudi labor law dictates working hours during Ramadan.

The Court expects that those who have the potential to be interested in the topic can join the committees formed in the regions for this reason, and calculate the reward by participating in it, in exchange for cooperation in righteousness and piety and the benefit of all Muslims.

If the crescent is seen on Friday evening (1st April 2022), Holy Ramadan will begin on Saturday (2nd April) and will last for 29 or 30 days, depending on the sighting of the Eid Al-Fitr crescent. During this month, Muslims around the world begin fasting from sunrise to dark.
