Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) emphasized that a medical examination is required to complete the process of issuing a new iqama (residence permit) to a worker for a specific company.

After paying the payments, a new iqama can be granted through the Absher or Muqeem platform of the employer, and a medical examination is required to complete the procedure, according to Saudi Jawazat.

Jawazat went on to say that delaying the issue of an iqama after 90 days from the date of arrival is punishable by a fine of 500 riyals.
