Moroor specifies the penalty for failing to renew a license after it has expired.

Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Traffic (Moroor) has issued a warning to citizens and residents about delaying driver’s license renewal after the 60-day renewal period has passed.

This warning came in response to a citizen’s concern, “My driving license has expired, is there any price for postponing renewal?” on the official Saudi Moroor Twitter account.

“Not renewing the license on time, after the expiry of the 60-day period, a fine of 100 riyals will be imposed on you for each year of renewal,” Moroor’s General Administration reacted in a tweet.

The requirements and method for renewing the annual driver’s license have been underlined by the General Directorate of Traffic.

Deadline for renewal of Istimara :

The deadline for renewing the Istimara, which does not have an expiration date, was revealed by Saudi Moroor, with the vehicle’s place determined by the examination procedures.

“I have a query on the renewal of Istimara, is it every year?” Moroor said in response to a question. Is it necessary to take the technical exam every year? Because I checked it last year and my form didn’t have an expiration date, but I got a message indicating it did this month.”

The Traffic Department answered by saying that if your driver’s license has no expiration date, renewing it in Absher is adequate.

“The traffic system requires all motorists to complete a periodic technical inspection annually, except for new private vehicles, which are evaluated three years after being licensed to drive for the first time,” Moroor added.
