What will Jawazat do if Iqama renewal is delayed? Response from Jawazat

Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has revealed the penalties it will impose on people who are late in renewing their residence (Iqama).

On Twitter, Jawazat got an inquiry from a resident expat who asked: “I’m a little late in renewing my iqama. What plans do you have for me? The General Directorate of Passports received a query about the issuing and renewal of resident iqama and passports, and this was the response.

“A fine for delaying the renewal of an iqama is imposed 3 days after its expiry date, bearing in mind that the charge for delaying the renewal of an iqama is 500 riyals for the first time, and 1,000 riyals for the second time,” Jawazat said in a tweet.Also Read: A Saudi man constructs a house with no doors for travelers.
