In an interview with “My Lady” program on “Rotana Khaleejia” channel, Kutbi explained that many people are not sure how seriously the system is applied in this matter, stressing that the system is applied strictly in these cases.

He pointed out that symbols in correspondence such as “red heart” or “rose” or other similar connotations that are understood by the receiving person, are considered a crime of harassment if the other person is harmed by it and it is disturbing to him, whether he is a man or a woman.

He noted that the crime of harassment is any act or sign with a sexual connotation from one person to another that touches his body or honor or infringes his modesty, including modern means of communication, explaining that if symbols came in a conversation between two people and were in the context of a normal conversation, it is not considered a crime.
