The Ministry of Human Resources clarifies the possibilities of a private driver being transferred to a company.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has confirmed the possibilities of an expatriate worker moving a position as a private driver to work in a company.

According to the Human Resources Ministry, moving an expat worker’s position from an individual to a company is a service that is available.

“The employer shall cover the fees for transferring the services of the worker who wishes to transfer his services to him,” specifies Article 40 of the Saudi Labor Law.

“If the company’s ownership is transferred to a new owner, or its legal structure is changed by merging or fragmentation, or otherwise, the work contracts remain valid in both circumstances, and the service is deemed continuous,” according to Article 18 of Saudi Labor Law.
