Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) declared that expats from 19 countries who are facing a temporary travel ban owing to the outbreak of Covid-19 will benefit from a recent decision to automatically extend iqamas, exit re-entry, and visits until March 31, 2022, at no cost.
Afghanistan, Turkey, Lebanon, Ethiopia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, Madagascar, Angola, Seychelles, Mauritius, Comoros, and Nigeria are among the 19 nations where expats will profit from this extension. Jawazat said earlier this month that iqamas, or exit re-entry visas, for expats outside the Kingdom who are in suspended countries, will be automatically extended until March 31, 2022.
The Saudi Arabian King’s order involves extending visit visas for tourists through March 31, 2022, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for individuals who are currently outside Saudi Arabia and are facing travel bans from their home countries.Read More: Saudi Arabia has imposed new travel restrictions related to Corona virus.
This extension, however, does not apply to anyone who took at least one dose in Saudi Arabia before leaving on an exit re-entry visa.
This extension is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to combat the consequences of the Corona virus outbreak. It also falls under the category of preventative and preventive measures, which safeguard the safety of citizens and expats while also assisting in the reduction of the pandemic’s cost and economic effects.
