Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has announced new travel limitations and procedures for departures and arrivals from the Kingdom, which will take effect at 1 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 (7/8/1443).

Saudi citizens must have the third (booster) dose of the Corona vaccine before leaving the country, according to the Ministry, if they have been three months since receiving the second dosage. Read More: How much does it cost to live in Saudi Arabia?

The Ministry clarified that this does not apply to those under the age of 16 or the exempted groups, according to the status appears in the Tawakkalna application.

According to the Ministry of Interior, all visitors to the Kingdom, including Saudi citizens, must submit a negative result of a PCR test from an approved PCR examination center or a negative result of an approved rapid antigen test (RAT) for the Corona virus within 48 hours of their departure or entry into the Kingdom, regardless of their vaccination status.

Saudi citizens who tested positive for Covid-19 are allowed to enter the Kingdom when the below period has passed without having to re-test, according to the Interior Ministry.

  1. Those who finished the permitted vaccine doses in the Kingdom have seven days from the date of taking the positive covid-19 sample.
  2. Those who did not finish receiving the recommended vaccination doses in the Kingdom have ten days from the date of taking the positive covid-19 sample.

The Ministry emphasized the need of everyone adhering to the precautionary and preventive measures as well as recognized health procedures, as well as completing the recommended vaccine doses as quickly as possible.Read More: How can I make an international bank transfer with UrPay?
