A child escaped death after being hit by a car after getting off the school bus while crossing a road in Jubail.

A circulating video clip showed that the girl tried to cross the road in front of the bus, taking advantage of the stop on the right side of it, which made her unable to see the car that was preparing to pass next to the bus, so the girl crashed next to the car and fell to the ground.

For its part, the Royal Commission in Jubail interacted with the circulating video, assuring that the causes of the accident had been verified, and a report had been submitted to the concerned authorities, noting that the Department of Transport and Equipment had attended to follow up on the situation and carry out an internal evaluation of safety procedures and the method of parking and disembarking the students.
