Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) announced that expats from 17 countries who are facing travel restrictions due to the outbreak of Covid-19 will benefit from a recent decision to automatically extend iqamas, exit re-entry, and visits until March 31, 2022, at no cost.
India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Turkey, Lebanon, Brazil, Ethiopia, South Africa, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, Bostwana, Namibia, and Zimbabwe are among the 17 countries that would benefit from this extension.
Jawazat had announced earlier on Monday that iqamas, or exit re-entry visas, for expats who are outside the Kingdom and in suspended countries, will be automatically extended until March 31, 2022.
The Saudi Arabian King’s decision includes an extension of visit visas for tourists until March 31, 2022, for individuals who are currently outside Saudi Arabia and are facing travel bans from their home countries.
This extension is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to combat the consequences of the Corona virus outbreak. It also falls under the category of preventative and preventive measures, which safeguard the safety of citizens and expats while also assisting in the reduction of the pandemic’s cost and economic effects.
